HangrAI · Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 July 2026
HangrAI is operated by MCW Media Ltd (company number 16340035), 312 Ripponden Road, Oldham, United Kingdom, OL4 2NY ("we", "us"). HangrAI is a virtual try-on app. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, how we collect it, every way we use it, and who we share it with.
What we collect and how
- Account details: email address and display name, collected when you create an account (email, Google or Apple sign-in). Guest sessions use an anonymous account.
- Photos you provide: your body photo and photos of your clothes, collected only when you explicitly select or take them in the app. We never scan your camera roll.
- Generated images: the try-on results you choose to save to your gallery.
- Purchase status: your subscription state, collected via Apple's App Store and RevenueCat when you subscribe. We never see your card details.
- Usage counts: how many AI generations you have used this month, recorded when a generation completes, to enforce plan limits.
Every use of your data
- Photos and clothing images: used solely to generate your try-on and edited images.
- Account details: used to sign you in, sync your wardrobe and looks across devices, and respond to support requests.
- Purchase status and usage counts: used to unlock Pro features and enforce free-plan limits.
- Nothing else. No advertising, no profiling, no sale of personal data, no use of your images to train AI models.
Sharing with third parties (including AI services)
The app asks for your permission in-app before any photo is sent for AI processing. We share data only with the processors below, each bound by contractual terms that protect your data to the same or an equal standard as this policy:
- Google Cloud Vertex AI (third-party AI service): receives the photos you choose (your body photo and clothing images) each time you request a generation, edit, or studio backdrop. Google processes them transiently to produce your image, does not use them to train its models, and does not retain them beyond processing (Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum).
- Google Firebase: stores your account, wardrobe, and saved looks in your private account space, readable only by you.
- Cloudinary: stores the images you save, which can include the clothing images you add to your wardrobe, the body photo used for a saved look, and the generated try-on images themselves, so they load quickly and stay in your gallery across devices. Cloudinary stores these on our behalf and does not use them for its own purposes.
- RevenueCat: processes your subscription state (an anonymised user ID and purchase receipts; never your photos or card details).
We share nothing with advertisers or data brokers, and we never sell personal data.
Your permission for AI processing
Before your first AI generation, the app shows a consent dialog that explains what is sent (the photos you selected) and to whom (Google Cloud Vertex AI). Nothing is sent until you tap Allow. If you decline, no photos leave your device and you can simply try again later.
Storage and deletion
Your account, wardrobe and saved looks are stored with Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage). The image files themselves are stored with Cloudinary, as described above. Deleting a garment, look or photo in the app removes it from your account. You can delete your entire account and all associated data, including your stored images, from the app's account menu, or by emailing us and we will complete the deletion for you.
What we don't do
- No ads, no ad tracking, no sale of personal data.
- No use of your images for AI training.
- No collection of your camera roll: only photos you explicitly select or take.
Children
HangrAI is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
